CONVIS
OVERVIEW
CONVIS is the association of livestock farmers in the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg. The cooperative represents 700 member farms and provides services to 1,100 dairy, suckler (and pig) farms. Around 85 employees carry out CONVIS’s core tasks, which are maintaining herd books for suckler and dairy breeds and monitoring performance. In addition to the dairy, suckler and pig departments, CONVIS also has an extension department with 15 agricultural advisers and a commercial structure, Pro-CONVIS, which handles the trade in genetic material (semen, embryos), the purchase and sale of livestock and the trade in livestock equipment. CONVIS is committed to representing and defending the interests of livestock farmers and the agricultural sector in general.
