AIA

OVERVIEW

The Italian Breeders Association (AIA) is a non-profit farmers organization established in Rome on August 20, 1944, and officially recognized as a public-interest entity in 1950. Since its founding, AIA has grown into a nationwide network representing 46,000 member farmers.

AIA operates through regional branches (ARA) and a team of over 800 field technicians, delivering comprehensive support and services. Its core activities include:

  • Beef and dairy performance recording for cattle, sheep, goats, buffaloes, swine, and horses;
  • Extension services and technical farm support;
  • Promotion of best practices in animal welfare and environmental sustainability.

AIA is committed to advancing innovation and fostering excellence in animal husbandry across Italy.
