World AMR Awareness Week

FESASS continues its commitment to preventing and combating antimicrobial resistance. It is participating in World Awareness Week. On 18 November, it is publishing a special edition of its newsletter devoted to this crucial issue for the future of human, animal and environmental health worldwide.

Last year, our president Didier DELMOTTE recorded a video message to highlight the importance of everyone getting involved in this fight. With this special issue, FESASS uses a few concrete examples to illustrate how to implement the 2025 campaign slogan ‘Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future’.

We would like to thank Dr Emmanuelle SOUBEYRAN, Director General of WOAH, for sharing her expertise and insights as an international leader. This is indeed a global issue, and her organisation is particularly mobilised in the face of the danger posed by AMR.

Our member organisations, the animal health services of livestock farmers, work daily towards the same goal on farms, in partnership with veterinarians and in support of the competent authorities.

Everyone’s action is essential to protect the animal health, ensure the proper use of these medicines on every farm and thus secure their effectiveness for future generations.
